  1. ELIGIBILITY: The team must furnish (2)-rosters at each check-in. Check-in rosters may contain no more than 25 players per team. No player shall be allowed to register with more than one team or switch to another team during the Invitational. No roster changes will be permitted after each registration.

  2. INVITATIONAL ROSTER / CHECK-IN: A team roster must be supplied at registration thirty minutes prior to each scrimmage game. The roster must be filled in completely, with each player's name and jersey number.

  3. DURATION: Scrimmages will consist of two (2) twenty-five minute halves with five minutes between halves. Scores will not be kept or posted. Main clocks will start at posted start time and will run continually without stoppage during each half. See NOTE below.

  4. HOME TEAM: The first team listed on the schedule is designated the HOME TEAM. In the case of uniform conflict, the Home Team will be responsible for changing to a different color. No two uniforms may have the same number. Home team supplies game balls. Please bring more than one.

  5. COACHES / MANAGERS: During play, both teams will be benched on the same side of the field, split at the halfway line. Limit three coaches, who are rostered to that team, are allowed with the team. Coaches must stay in the areas marked.

  6. EVENT RULES: Michigan High School Soccer rules shall apply as well as applicable FIFA Laws of the game.

  7. CONDUCT AND PROPER UNIFORM ATTIRE: Players, coaches, and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in the spirit of the law as well as the letter of the law. Any player ejected from a match will be ineligible to participate in, at least, the next scheduled scrimmage game. Field Marshals will remove any coach or fan that is disturbing a match being played. If coaches or fans refuse to leave, the event will be forfeited. Players will wear shin guards with socks pulled over them. Player's shirts must be tucked into their shorts. Sweat pants or warm ups may be worn under soccer shorts during play. All jewelry must be removed.

  8. INCLEMENT WEATHER: In the event that play cannot be started or is stopped for some reason, such as severe weather, teams will take cover, but will remain at the site and proceed as follows: If time allows, resume play and play to completion. If the first half was completed, the match will be called complete. The Invitational Committee reserves the right to make whatever adjustments may be necessary in event length to proceed with the schedule following delay(s) due to inclement weather, including cancellation if necessary.

  9. FORFEITS: Failure to complete a match, or a team leaving the field during play, will result in forfeiture. No team that has forfeited a match will be given a make-up. Invitational officials reserve the right to decide all matters concerning a forfeit. If one of the teams scheduled to play does not show up that team forfeits. The team that is present will have the full use of the field for the full time scheduled.

  10. BLOOD RULE: Any player who is bleeding and/or has blood on any part of their uniform will be sent off the field by the referee. A substitution can be made. The player sent off may return once the bleeding is stopped and/or bandaged. The affected uniform must be changed or cleaned before player re-enters the game.

  11. OTHER: The Rules Committee shall determine any matter not provided for in the Invitational rules. In addition, the Rules Committee may amend the Invitational rules, when, in its judgment, the amendment will be beneficial to the Invitational. The decision of the Rules Committees shall be final.

NOTE: The clock will not be stopped because of injury to any player unless, at the discretion of the referee, medical personnel must remove the injured player from the field. Under any circumstances, no more than five (5) minutes will be added to the clock. Due to the time allowed for the completion of all events, the clock must run continuously.
